Web Design

When it comes to building a dope website, there are three principles to consider; Visual Design (i.e. how pretty it looks), Usability (i.e. ease of use) and Objectives (i.e. what are the goals). 48% of people cited a website’s design as the number one factor in deciding the credibility of a brand. The facts don’t lie – the design of your website says a lot more about your cannabis brand than you realize.

Our Process

We understand the virtues of social media and how a successful an Instagram account or Facebook page can boost sales, create contacts and drive in traffic. However, if those carefully crafted posts and statuses lead customers to a confusing and poorly designed website then all the countless hours of work put into promotion will be fruitless.

Without sounding too obvious, a great website is vital to a successful brand. A functional site that reflects your cannabis brands ethos is your best sales tool, and a bad website can damage your reputation and sales.

Website Concepting

Using your creative brief and what we’ve learned about your company we begin by researching areas and opportunities to differentiate the overall experience we want your customers, dispensaries, and or potential clients to have. Once we have sourced enough inspiration and have several design concepts in mind, we will begin developing your mockups.

Webpage Mockups

At Wick & Mortar, we never start building a website before mockups are completed and approved. A mockup will provide you with an explicit representation of what you can expect to see minus the animations and technical integrations. The result is a static map of the website. Once the mockups are ready to be presented, we use InVision to walk you through the intended experience. With this representation, we can start to work on the development process where our developer will make your mockups come to life.

Development

The theme will be the basis for the design of the website. There will be a period of revisions and development that will start once you have signed off on the design. Once development has begun, only minor changes can be made without affecting the scope of the project.

Walkthrough

We present you a first draft of the website during either an in-person meeting or conference call. We will take careful notes of any feedback and changes you request. We complete all of the revisions you requested and let you review the site for final approval. Once approved, we set up a training session with you to teach you how to operate the back end of the site, add email addresses, and change content on the site. We provide you with login credentials, and your site goes live!
